Counseling/Learning Advocacy

Students in need of counseling  receive these services from Richard Wilson, MA or Leslie Livingston, MA, when Richard is not available. Richard’s focus in his work as a psychotherapist is solution-oriented, enabling teens and their families to leverage their inherent problem solving abilities to approach challenges with new perspective and confidence.  A psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience counseling adolescents and families in private practice, Leslie’s training specialty is adolescence.  Jake has worked for a decade with students with learning differences and brings his expertise to the classroom, advocating for students and supporting their teachers to insure the best possible outcomes for all.  As appropriate, either Richard or Jake will assess student needs and develop a plan to address them.  Whether the student is facing social-emotional and/or learning-based challenges, they will determine the best trajectory for success and integration within the school milieu, working with parents and outside resources as warranted.
