Janie Chodosh

Janie Chodosh is the author of three books, two novels for young adults, “Death Spiral” and “Code Red” and one work of nonfiction, “Wild Lives, Leading Conservationists on the Animals and the Planet they Love.” She has a Masters in environmental science with a minor in creative writing from the University of Montana. For her Master’s thesis, she ran an environmental education project in Oaxaca, Mexico. Following her passion for writing and for the outdoors, Janie has had an eclectic career that includes teaching creative writing and high school English, working as a naturalist in Yosemite National Park and a wilderness guide for the Colorado Outward Bound School, and serving as the state education director for the New Mexico Audubon Society. She loves to read, write, travel, and be outside. She ls currently working on a book about elephant conservation in Assam, India.
