Academic Support

Advisories

Desert Academy’s Advisory Program is designed to provide students with a consistent and supportive home base as an integral part of their school experience.

High school advisory groups meet once each week and middle school advisories meet twice weekly.  In both divisions, advisors provide academic support, addressing issues including organization, time management, academic honesty, and tracking academic progress. Advisors also guide students in their community service efforts, which change year over year as students mature. Students develop the learner profile traits central to our mission and connect with their peers as teams. Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s advisor for support in making their experience at Desert the best it can be.
