Through events and fund drives, Desert Academy raises significant funds to assist worthy students in attending school here. All monies raised from our Annual Auction & Gala, restaurant partnership events, and others go to tuition assistance. Your participation in these events means the world to our students!
Desert Academy Fund
The Desert Academy Fund supports the operations of the school and, well, keeps the lights on!
Tuition at every independent school in the nation covers only part of what it costs us to educate our students. The Desert Academy giving helps us to close the gap between what we collect in tuition and what we must spend to provide the excellent education for which we are known. With your generous donations to this Fund, we are able to afford textbooks, computers, desks, supplies, busses and vans, utilities, teacher and tutor salaries, and special programs.
Your participation in the Desert Academy Fund, whether large or small, is vitally important to our ability to obtain corporate grants, as well. We welcome gifts from current parents, grandparents, alumni and their families, and community members and business leaders.
Desert Academy’s acquisition of our “forever campus” – 26 acres on Old Santa Fe Trail – was accomplished in 2012 through the efforts of our capital campaign committee and members of the administrative staff of the school.
We are preparing for a new campaign to build out the campus, anticipating the needs of the future. Plans include an athletic field, 400 meter, 6 lane track, theater, gymnasium, great room, and additional classroom space will be constructed as funds become available. You’ll be hearing from us soon about how you can help us build the campus of our dreams.

Annual Event and Auction: This is a community event that raises significant funds for our tuition assistance programs. With the generous support of restaurants, galleries, shops, studios and sponsors, we are able to provide tuition assistance for over 40% of the families in our community. We welcome parents and community members to help with donation solicitation, planning, and the actual event by serving on our auction committee. The backbone of Desert Academy’s community support is the Corporate and Foundations Partnership Program.
These partnerships enhance the relationship between the greater Santa Fe community and Desert Academy.
Your company may wish to be a major underwriter for the Desert Academy Golf Classic, sponsor one of our IB Scholars, or provide funds for any number of valuable programs and events. Corporate Partnerships begin at $500 and, depending on the level of underwriting, receive acknowledgement at Desert Academy events, in our publications, and on our website.
